When you spend time in a pool, you want to enjoy the warm water and beautiful views. Behind that experience is daily work: heating, round-the-clock filtration, disinfection and cleaning.
At Black Inn, caring for the pool is an important part of welcoming our guests. Here is how we do it.
Warm Water Throughout the Year
Black Inn’s indoor pool is heated continuously. We maintain a water temperature of around 28–30°C, making it pleasant to enjoy even on cool, rainy days in Dilijan.
The panoramic windows let you relax in warm water while taking in the surrounding nature, whatever the season.
Sand Filtration, 24 Hours a Day
Our pool’s filtration system runs around the clock. The water circulates through a sand filter.
The filter’s sand bed helps trap small particles and debris. This is an ongoing process: pool care extends well beyond preparing for guests’ arrival.
Water Disinfection with Chlorine
Alongside filtration, we use chlorine to disinfect the pool water.
The sand filter helps remove particles, while chlorine helps kill many disease-causing microorganisms. These processes work together: filtration does not replace disinfection.
Checking the Water
We regularly check the pH and chlorine levels to monitor the water’s balance and the conditions needed for disinfection.
Pool care is about more than visible cleanliness. Even clear water needs its levels checked alongside filtration and cleaning.
Vacuum Cleaning After Every Group of Guests
In addition to round-the-clock filtration, we clean the pool with a dedicated pool vacuum after every group of guests checks out.
The vacuum helps collect small particles and sediment that settle on the pool floor. We carry out this cleaning even when the water looks clear.
For us, preparing for the next guests includes carefully looking after the pool.
How Guests Can Help Keep the Water Clean
A few simple habits make pool care easier: showering before swimming, keeping food and drinks out of the water, and avoiding glass containers in the pool area.
Please take particular care with drinks. Wine, beer, juice or cocktails spilled into the pool add contaminants and can make water care more difficult.
If the water becomes cloudy or changes colour, the cause needs to be investigated. Appearance alone cannot tell us what has happened. Depending on the cause, restoring the water’s clarity and proper balance may take time.
Following these simple guidelines helps keep the pool an enjoyable space for your whole group.
